South Jetty Sunset Canvas Print

Sunset over the Pacific near the South Jetty where the Columbia river flows into the Ocean, at Astoria. A layers of fog starts to move in, as the sun goes down. And a flock of pelicans patrol the scene from above.

I am a visual artist using tools of digital Photography for my artistic expression. Beyond the photographic capture of the raw beauty of nature, the 'digital darkroom' lets me bring to life images inspired by my photogenic home; the Pacific Northwest region of the US. To me art is a 'language' native to the realm of human emotions. So, in my work I seek the patterns, colors and subjects that elicit an emotional response which I then attempt to communicate to the viewer using the tools and techniques of digital photography.
