On wet overcast days in the forests of the Pacific Northwest a diffuse grey light seems to favor the color green, in all its many shades and hues. It makes forest scenes look like symphonies of Green with every tone, high or low, contributing something to the whole.
About John Christopher
I am a visual artist using tools of digital Photography for my artistic expression. Beyond the photographic capture of the raw beauty of nature, the 'digital darkroom' lets me bring to life images inspired by my photogenic home; the Pacific Northwest region of the US. To me art is a 'language' native to the realm of human emotions. So, in my work I seek the patterns, colors and subjects that elicit an emotional response which I then attempt to communicate to the viewer using the tools and techniques of digital photography.
