Closing time at Coldwater Ridge visitor center, late October 2004, as Mount Saint Helens signaled its intention to continue with a low level eruption through yet another sleepless night. Two deer seemed surprised to see a photographer out at such a late hour.
About John Christopher
I am a visual artist using tools of digital Photography for my artistic expression. Beyond the photographic capture of the raw beauty of nature, the 'digital darkroom' lets me bring to life images inspired by my photogenic home; the Pacific Northwest region of the US. To me art is a 'language' native to the realm of human emotions. So, in my work I seek the patterns, colors and subjects that elicit an emotional response which I then attempt to communicate to the viewer using the tools and techniques of digital photography.
