Every element in this low tide scene from the Oregon coast is transitory. From the fast moving clouds to the small waterfall, to the patterns in the sand, it will all disappear, some of it won't last the day as it will get covered by the returning tide.
I am a visual artist using tools of digital Photography for my artistic expression. Beyond the photographic capture of the raw beauty of nature, the 'digital darkroom' lets me bring to life images inspired by my photogenic home; the Pacific Northwest region of the US. To me art is a 'language' native to the realm of human emotions. So, in my work I seek the patterns, colors and subjects that elicit an emotional response which I then attempt to communicate to the viewer using the tools and techniques of digital photography.
